As a builder and developer, with nearly 40 years of history, Sam Rodgers Homes and Neighborhood has had a hand in the conception and construction of over 3000 homes throughout Florida. Over the years, we have stacked our tool belts with new technologies and steadfast values that have, from home to home, matured us as builders, and helped us provide our homeowners with a blend of old world quality and new world design and comfort. The company was founded in 1968 in Lakeland, Florida, under the Sam Rodgers Enterprises, Inc. banner. At that time, we engaged in the development of numerous manufactured home communities of the area and became one of the top ten manufactured housing retailers in the state. We have remained a family owned business under the guidance of Richard and Rex Rogers. The company transitioned to conventional residential housing development in 1988. That same year we developed Sandpiper Golf & Country Club, our first master-planned country club community, consisting of 1,169 residential units. Since then, the company has built thousands of homes for satisfied customers in Polk, Pasco, Lake, Manatee, and Sarasota counties. Other master-planned communities include The Estates of Beacon Woods, Legacy of Leesburg, GreyHawk Landing, and Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club. Our legacy of developing extraordinary neighborhoods continues with our newest community Gran Paradiso, debuting in late 07. Gran Paradiso features paired villas, single family homes, and estate homes. With an expansive private enclave, Gran Paradiso is set on over one thousand acres of nature preserves, lakes, and trails, and enhanced by the legendary beaches of Sarasota County, nearby championship golf courses, world-class shopping, fine restaurants, and cultural activities.
