A Richmond native, Homesmith Construction President Patrick (Pat) T. Harris graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduating, Pat entered the corporate world and soon discovered that his true passion was in homebuilding.

So in 1994 Pat began his career in the homebuilding industry by learning the homebuilding business from the ground up. He worked diligently for several years in the construction industry with a variety of different builders, including custom home and starter home builders. He also constructed homes on the side, working afternoons and weekends to do so.

In 1999, Pat founded Homesmith and began building quality homes in the Chesterfield County. Today he continues to build his trademark homes in a variety of subdivisions.

Pat and his wife, Sonja, are the proud parents of a five year old daughter and a three year old son. The family currently resides in Hallsley at Roseland.
