Richard Markins, president and owner of DanRich Homes, Inc., was raised in Chester, Virginia. As a young boy, Richard learned the craftsmanship of quality carpentry from his father, a master interior trim carpenter. Through assisting and learning from his father, Richard developed a passion for creating fine, quality homes. This led him to build his first home in 1987 at the age of 19.

In 1993 DanRich Homes, Inc. was formed with the motto and belief that he would be "Your Partner in Building". The DanRich philosophy believes that when you are building a new home, there is an important tool that must be used and it does not operate on electricity. It's a tool that's fueled by the invaluable human traits of imagination and quality workmanship.

Richard, his wife Amy, and their four boys - Joshua, David, Seth, and Christopher - live in Colonial Heights, Virginia, where they are active members of Colonial Heights Baptist Church.

Richard pours time and thought into selecting just the right floor plan for each unique customer. Once the floor plan is selected, he spends the time necessary to plan how to get the most space and cost effectiveness from each home he builds.

When building a new home, one of DanRich Homes underlying philosophies is to stay smaller in an effort to control quality and to ensure a customer's expectations are understood. It is with this philosophy that our ultimate goal is achieved: your satisfaction.
